NEOCATECUMENALES RESPONDEN PARA IR A EVANGELIZAR A ASIA
El estadio valenciano de Mestalla acogió a una afición diferente el pasado domingo. Unas 30 mil personas acudieron al encuentro vocacional del Camino Neocatecumenal, acompañados por su iniciador, Kiko Argüello y por monseñor Carlos Osoro, arzobispo de Valencia. Durante el evento cerca de 400 jóvenes y adolescentes así como 200 familias respondieron a la “llamada vocacional” para evangelizar Asia
LOS SACERDOTES Y LAS MONJAS EN FACEBOOK
¿Cuántos sacerdotes, religiosos y seminaristas tienen un perfil de Facebook? A esa interrogante da respuesta Churchbook. La presenza dei consacrati nei social network («Churchbook, la presencia de los consagrados en las redes sociales»), un estudio de la Universidad Católica de Milán y de la Universidad de Perugia en colaboración con la WeCa (Asociación de Webmaster Católicos Italianos).
El estudio se centra en Italia y de él emergen datos interesantes sobre la ubicación y cantidad de usuarios de Facebook en cuanto personas consagradas: 20% del total de sacerdotes y religiosos (as) así como un 59,7% de los seminaristas tienen un perfil. La estadística confirma una fuerte presencia de consagrados en la web. Por cuanto respecta a los religiosos y religiosas, de acuerdo a un artículo publicado en L´Osservatore Romano (cf. Per educarsi alla vita santa di Gesù, 12.01.2012, p. 7), en Italia los religiosos son más de 140,000: 18,000 religiosos y 122,000 religiosas, un 16% del total de religiosos a nivel mundial.
«Churchbook» pone de manifiesto otros datos interesantes: entre el clero diocesano, sólo el 17,9% tiene un perfil en Facebook, mientras que en el clero religioso asciende hasta un 20,4% (un porcentaje elevado en comparación con la media general italiana). Otra diferencia notable es que los religiosos varones tienen una presencia mayor en Facebook (20,4%) que las religiosas (9,3%).
Analizando los post puestos en Facebook por fases de edad, se advierte que los sacerdotes mayores tienden a usar menos sus perfiles mientras que los más jóvenes son más activos (la fase de edad entre 18 y 32 años ingresa diariamente a Facebook en un 19,5% y semanal o mensualmente en un 74,2%; la fase de ingreso entre los mayores de 70 años es de 4,8% diario y 52,9% semanal o mensualmente). De modo análogo, tanto los sacerdotes más jóvenes como los seminaristas tienen más «amigos» en Facebook, respecto a los sacerdotes mayores.
Los seminarios italianos con mayor número porcentual de seminaristas en Facebook son Siracusa (83,2%), Molfetta (70,7%), Padua (70%), Anagni (58%), Florencia (56,6%), Brescia (53,3), Turín (46,7%), Catanzaro (45,3%) y Asís (35,7%).
Las iglesias locales italianas con el mayor número de sacerdotes diocesanos en Facebook son Nápoles (26,1%), Siracusa (25,9%), Perugia (22,1%), Brindis ((20,6%), Roma (19,7%), Macerata (16,9%), Milán (15,3%), Padua (14,9%), Tempio Ampurias (13,5%) y Tortona (12,9%).
«Churchbook» ha tomado en estudio un periodo de 11 meses (de marzo de 2011 a febrero de 2012) y los resultados van en dos líneas: la creación de un mapa estadístico que evidencia la presencia en red de personas consagradas –que es lo dado a conocer hasta este momento– y una profundización cuantitativa y cualitativa que permitirá conocer las motivaciones que llevan a sacerdotes, religiosos, religiosas y seminaristas a utilizar la red social más famosa del mundo y el tipo de uso que hacen. Esta parte está todavía en elaboración.
Hasta el momento, uno de los estudios mejor logrados sobre sacerdote-tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación fue el informe mundial PICTURE (Priests´ICT Use in their Religious Experience). La investigación, cuyos resultados fueron publicados en mayo de 2010, ofrece «una imagen de cuáles son las actividades religiosas on line desarrolladas por sacerdotes católicos y cuáles son sus actitudes con respecto a las tecnologías digitales».
Los cinco apartados principales de PICTURE brindan interesantes datos acerca de 1) la frecuencia de uso y propiedad de las TIC, 2) cómo ayudan en las actividades fundamentales de la misión sacerdotal, 3) uso para la formación, 4) inculturación de la fe y 5) comunicación y socialización en el «continente digital». La conclusión del estudio resulta de especial valor dado que se trata de la primera investigación de envergadura y alcance mundial sobre sacerdocio y TIC: «El 41% de los ePriest en todo el mundo considera muy positivo el hecho que el recurso de las tecnologías digitales haya mejorado el modo de llevar adelante su misión sacerdotal; el 46,2% tiene una visión moderada al respecto y solamente el 12,2% tiene una percepción negativa». Y añade la conclusión: «mientras que el 17,5% de los e-Priest está muy de acuerdo sobre el hecho que “los peligros de la tecnología son mayores a las oportunidades que ofrece”, el 38,2% no está de acuerdo con esta afirmación».Aunque «Churchbook» está circunscrito a Italia, es un buen reflejo de lo que sucede en Europa.
